Understanding your options is the first step.  These options can essentially be broken down into two categories: gravel driveways or concrete pavers.  The main difference between the two is durability.  Gravel, because it is loose stone, needs to be replenished every 4 or 5 years.  Pavers, on the other hand, last a lifetime!  Pavers also come in a wider array of colors and you can make you driveway more interesting by adding colors and design without impacting the price.  With gravel, you need to consider the slope of your driveway and the size of the stone you'd like.  For instance, if you have a sloped driveway, you'd choose a crushed stone rather than a round stone option.  Additionally, very small gravel stones have the tendency to get stuck in tire treads or shoe bottoms and get dragged throughout the house.  And while the most popular choice for gravel is half inch native stone, we carry the largest selection of decorative gravel options in the area.
